The Endians fight can be linked to the English Protestants and Catholic conflict as they are both religious conflicts started over minor differences in interpretations of how true believers should follow their belief. The religious book of the lilliputians, the Beunodecral, states that “believers should break their eggs at the convenient end”.(Swift 35) The problem started when the present ruler's grandfather cut his while trying to break open the egg at the bigger side, a law was pass after this that all lilliputians must break the eggs at the smaller end.(34) A number of lilliputians did not like this new law and rebelled against this law, only to end up being killed and after facing losses the rebels who then became the Big-Endians chose to flee to Blefuscu.
